I belong to this group called Books Deals for Broke Bibliophiles - India on Facebook, which already has 24k members and is growing. Ritesh Agrawal who owns the community, has promoted a 'Book and Bake Sale' happening on 2nd April, Sunday, 11 am- 7 pm. That's today!
Here are more details from the BYOB page:
Do you like baked goods.
And reading too?
Would you like some books,
And cakes to chew?
We like them too
(Of course we do)
So here's a SALE
Just for you =)
Baked Goodies! Or what often qualifies as the best kind of food-- Cakes!
Beverage-- on the house. It's hot, and if you have come all the way to buy books (always a commendable thing to do), you should be greeted with cold, cold lemonade.
Happy conversation (we tend to talk a lot, come join us?)
Where is it happening?

For the uninitiated, Bring Your Own Book, is a book club with a twist. You may bring your last-read book or simply any book you would like to discuss, discuss books with like-minded people and borrow/lend books! The BYOB Club, as we are known, has been featured in publications like The Hindu, Times of India, Hindustan Times and Europe1! We have chapters in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Surat, and are spreading to other cities soon!
BYOB has a crowd-sourced library (WE ACTUALLY RETURN BOOKS TO OWNERS), so be sure to participate in that! Other attractions include cake (crowd-sourced), snacks (crowd-sourced), and great conversation (crowd-sourced).
Don't forget to tell all of them how you heard about them:)
Signing off,
Aishwariya
